Why skin loosens
Skin stretches to cover extra volume. When weight comes off quickly, collagen and elastin can't shrink back as fast, especially with age and sun damage. The face can also look hollow as fat pads shrink.
What treatments can do
Radiofrequency and ultrasound heat the deeper skin, tightening existing collagen and prompting new collagen. This firms and smooths skin gradually. It won't remove large folds of skin, but it makes a visible difference to crepey, softened areas.
