How HIFU lifts the skin
Ultrasound energy is focused into tiny points at set depths, including the deep supporting layer that surgeons tighten in a facelift. Each point heats to a temperature that contracts existing collagen and starts a healing response that produces new collagen and elastin over the following weeks.
Because the energy passes through the surface without damaging it, there is no wound and no recovery time.

Who is a good candidate
HIFU suits people from their thirties onwards with mild to moderate laxity who want a natural lift without surgery. It is less suited to very heavy sagging, where surgical options give more change, and it is not used over active skin infections or certain implants.
What the session feels like
We cleanse the skin, apply gel and pass the handpiece over each area. You feel short bursts of deep warmth or a prickling sensation, strongest over bony areas. Most people return to normal activities straight away.
Side effects
Mild redness, swelling or tingling can last a few hours to a few days. Tenderness along the jaw, small bruises or temporary numbness are uncommon and settle on their own.

How long does HIFU last?
Results typically last around a year, depending on age and lifestyle. Many people book a top-up once a year.
When will I see HIFU results?
Some tightening is visible straight away, but the real lift appears over 2 to 3 months as new collagen forms.
HIFU or Ultherapy: which is better?
Both use focused ultrasound. Ultherapy adds real-time imaging to see the tissue layers during treatment and costs more; Ultraformer III is a faster, more affordable option. We recommend one at your consultation.
