High frequency for acne
For acne-prone skin, high frequency is usually added after cleansing or extractions to help calm active spots. It works best as part of a doctor-led acne treatment plan with skincare and, where needed, BBL, carbon laser or HydraFacial.
High frequency for the scalp
On the scalp, a comb electrode is moved through the hair to warm and stimulate the scalp. It is a supportive treatment; hair thinning has many causes, so your doctor checks yours first and recommends the full plan.
Who should avoid it
High frequency is not used with a pacemaker or other electronic implants, during pregnancy, or with epilepsy. Tell your doctor about any metal implants.
