Why tanning and BBL don't mix
A tan is extra pigment in the skin. BBL is designed to target pigment, so a tan absorbs some of the light, increasing the risk of burns, blisters and patches of lighter or darker skin.
Self-tanner and spray tans
Self-tanner colours the surface of the skin and can affect how the light is absorbed. Let it fully fade before treatment, and wait until the skin has settled after BBL, usually about a week, before applying it again. Ask us if you're unsure.
Living in Dubai
With strong sun all year, plan BBL around holidays and beach trips, and protect treated skin with SPF 50, a hat and shade. Read the BBL preparation guide and BBL aftercare.
